Your brave, noble, and gifted firehouse is invited to prove its culinary mettle at Brown’s 15th Annual Firehouse Chili CookOff on Sunday, March 22, 2026, 1 to 4 pm at Brown’s Revolution Hall, 425 River Street, Troy!
There is no cost to enter. This event is open to the public to attend and enjoy chili samples from each firehouse. Proceeds from the $15 general door admission will be shared benefit firefighters who have served their communities, but can no longer care for themselves. This competition is exclusively for firehouse chefs. No restaurants will participate. The spirit of Brown's Firehouse Chili CookOff is to celebrate the delights of firehouse chili and to honor the hardworking firefighters who serve and protect us all.

To register your firehouse, email firehouse name, your name, e-mail address, firehouse mailing address, and type of chili(s) you’re entering to events@brownsbrewing.com. Please enter “2026 Firehouse Chili CookOff” in the subject line. Please register by February 28.
RULES & PARTICULARS
• All entries must be made by active members of firehouses. Restaurants are not eligible to participate.
• Firehouses must bring a minimum of 15 gallons of chili to sample.
• Entrants are responsible for serving their own chili.
• Brown's Brewing will supply electric for heat, 4 oz sample cups, spoons, napkins, tables, and chairs.
• Load in and set up is between 10:30 and 11:30 am with the doors opening to the public at 1 pm.
• Competitors must attend and maintain their tables during the entire duration of the event. Tables cannot be broken down or vacated prior to the end of the event.
• Competitors are responsible for clean-up at the end of the event by removing equipment, inventory, and decorations, and leaving the table in the same condition as when they arrived.
• Competitors shall be liable for delivery, handling, set-up and removal of their own displays and materials.
JUDGING AND PRIZES
This year's competition will be judged in two categories: Taste Panel and People's Choice. The winning firehouse judged for Best Tasting Chili will receive the Golden Eddy Award, as well as a Chili Masters Grand Prize Silver Eddy and Bronze Eddy trophies will be awarded for second and third best tasting chilis as judged by our discerning and esteemed taste panel. A People's Choice Award will go to the firehouse receiving the most votes from cookoff attendees. The Sluppy Puppy Award will go to the firehouse with the best display.
COMPLIMENTARY BEER
Complimentary beer will be provided to participating firehouse chefs 21 years of age and older (limit of three participants/department).
