Featuring Brown’s
Pale Ale

Summer is almost officially here and as we al know, the much awaited Memorial Day weekend marks the official opening of the Grilling Season. Naturally, we here at the Premium Leisure Society have a special culinary pointer to help you celebrate properly. Our Pale Ale Seafood Kebobs are the recommended dish for backyard grilling. They go delightfully well with a pint of Brown's Pale Ale or Hefe-Weizen. Stop by the Troy Waterfront Farmer's Market, the Price Chopper, Hannford's or your favorite beverage center and pick up a six pack of Brown's Pale Ale, or slide into the Taproom and fill your growler with a batch of Hefe.

Ingredients

  • 4 Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 Large sea scallops
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 wooden (or metal) skewers
  • 4oz Olive oil
  • 4oz white vinager
  • 1 oz fresh cilantro
  • pinch of Old bay seasoning
  • 4oz of Browns Pale Ale

Preparations

  1. Finely chop the cilantro. In a large mixing bowl whisk the oil and vinager together. Add the cilantro, Old Bay seasoning, and Pale Ale and whisk into the oil and vinager mix.
  2. Carefully slide down one shrimp, a piece of red pepper, one piece of onion, one piece of green pepper, and a scallop onto a skewer. Repeat with the other skewer. Place both kabobs in the bowl and let them marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
  3. When you are ready to cook, heat your grill. Place the kabobs on the hot grill, cook for about 3minutes and flip. Cook the other side for about 3 minutes.
  4. Serve with a pint of Brown's Pale Ale or Hefe-weizen.
